Gratz Borough

Dauphin County, PA

Welcome to

Gratz Borough

Gratz is a small, close-knit community located in northern Dauphin County, along the northern base of Short Mountain in Pennsylvania’s scenic Lykens Valley.

Gratz was laid out in 1805 by Philadelphia businessman and landowner Simon Gratz and was incorporated as a borough in 1852. For more than two centuries, the community has grown while preserving the small-town character, traditions, and neighborly spirit that make Gratz a special place to call home.
