The Gratz Historical Society will hold its annual Spring Dinner on Saturday April 18th at the Gratz Community Center, 125 N. Center Street, with the doors opening at 5 p.m. and dinner served at 5:30 p.m.   The meal will be baked ham with all of the trimmings, prepared and served by some of our Amish members.

We are honored this month to have Cole Lubold and Connie Lubold as guest speakers representing MI Windows and Doors.   They will be talking about the history of the founding of the local manufacturer and the strong part they play in the community.  They recently made and donated custom windows for the entire Society Museum, meeting a desperate need in the maintenance of the historic structure.

Tickets are $25 and may be obtained at the Grand Entrance in Gratz or by calling Ruthie Sitlinger at 717-365-3281.

The Gratz Historical Society brought home first place at the Gratz Fair for its entry called ‘Yesterday’s Child’. The exhibit included a quilt made by the last class (1990) of the Gratz-Lykens Township Elementary School (now the Community Center).
