Gratz Borough Park Dedicates Donated AED

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on October 1, at Gratz Borough Park to dedicate an automated external defibrillator (AED) donated by The Peyton Walker Foundation.

Participating in the dedication were Nicole McCartan, representing the Foundation; Kylie Bender, representing Borough Parks and Recreation; and Bill Reed, Borough Council President.

Established in memory of 19-year-old Peyton Walker, who died from sudden cardiac arrest in 2013, the Foundation works to increase awareness and improve survival rates through heart screenings, CPR and AED training, and AED donations to communities.

Gratz Borough thanks The Peyton Walker Foundation for its generous donation and dedication to saving lives. This addition to the park provides an important resource to help protect residents and visitors during a cardiac emergency.
